HOW TO LISTEN

Every light has a weight.

Read from the right: 1, 2, 4, 8… Add the weights of the lit bits. In signed mode, the leftmost bit has a negative weight. Shifted nibble channels multiply the result.

1 0 1 08 + 2 = 10

Five correct in a row restores one life.

Read the signal

Choose one decimal answer for the displayed binary pattern. Arcade gives 10 seconds per signal, falling to 6 seconds as your streak grows. A wrong answer or timeout costs one of three lives.

Correct answers earn 10 points plus 2 for each preceding answer in the streak. Every fifth correct answer restores a life, up to three.

Signed mode uses two’s complement: in four bits, 1111 means −1 and 1000 means −8. For shifted nibbles, multiply by the channel scale.

Practice removes the clock and offers place-value help. Pause freezes the clock and hides the signal. A hidden browser tab pauses automatically.

This static browser port preserves the upstream core rules; practice, pause, touch controls and this interface are additions. Best scores are stored only on this device.
